The Forest Fire

The Raging Forest Fire

Rapidly spreading forest fire

Burning destroying all in its path

Reaching up enveloping spires

Trees destroyed swallowed fast

The hungry fire strongly rages on and on

Wreaking havoc with outright arrogance

Letting the flames dance in abandon

Reducing to dust trees with sheer impudence

The trees shiver and shake in fright

Knowing not how long they could put up a fight

Praying  for torrents of rain to come

To quell the fire and banish from forest grounds

Answering their prayers from above

Torrents of rain pour from the mercy clouds

Mother Nature heeds their call

Quelling the fire with rainfalls
